Beauty is in the eye of the Photoshopper.

This 37-second ideo offers a time-lapsed look into how a seemingly ordinary woman is made up to become beautiful and glamorous. It’s a reminder that the images of beauty portrayed by the media are perpetuated by airbrushing and not representative of most women.

The video has been around since 2012, but only recently went viral after Upworthy user Laura Willard posted it on the site.

She said, “I want to show my daughter, over and over, why the images of so many women she sees aren't realistic. And what I really want is for us to stop turning beautiful women into drawings and passing them off as real."
