My mom forgot that is was picture day, and clearly so did I.  Thanks to that we now have this LOVELY photo of me in the 7th grade.  I've never been so thankful for puberty in my life. Girls in junior high (or is it just middle school now?) seriously don't realize how good they have it.  Do kids even go through awkward stages anymore?  I saw a girl who is 13, and I wouldn't have carded her at a bar because she looked like she was in her 20's from her makeup to her hair it was crazy.  When I was in junior high girls were taller then the boys, girls didn't wear makeup and if they did it wasn't much, forget doing anything to your hair, I think I straightened mine one time in junior high, and everyone had braces, and really bad hair cuts. That's how junior high was, and how it should be. You gotta pay your dues dang it!

Thankfully for me though, puberty happened and not all was a total loss.  I feel like now, for the most part I know how to do my hair and makeup to make myself not look like death every day, I still don't really know how to dress myself, but the rest I think I do alright with.

However 7th grade.... oh 7th grade was a challenge.  I was a huge tomboy, no make up, no eyebrow waxing (seriously that one simple thing can change your life, I highly recommend it), and no cute clothes.  I pretty much only wore jeans and $5 Kohls t-shirts.  The shirt in the picture is actually a $5 Kohls shirt I bought that had an American flag and a giant eagle on it because, America.

Oh don't forget the shark tooth necklace.

So here you have it....7th grade me.
