Just recently we shared with you the story of a guy who bought a roll of film on Ebay and when he developed the photos he found they were from here in the tri-state (he isn't from the tri-state, one of the photos happened to have Bosse high school in it so he did some googling then took to social media to find out these photos stories).  Turns out the story is a pretty sad one :(

The Courier and Press caught up with Jack Jewers who lives in England to ask him about the photos.  There were 16 he developed.  After the photos were shared on Facebook thousands of times Jack was able to learn some names and stories.

The picture of the young woman outside Bosse is believed to be Helen (Rodgers) Weber

The photo of the young man also pictured outside of Bosse high school is believed to be Helen’s husband Lt. Charles A. Weber, who died in World War II. According to the Courier and Press, he was a passenger in a plane that collided with another during the war.

Jack Jewers thinks that maybe the photos were too painful to look at, and that's why they were never developed. “In these photos, they both look so happy. They had no idea their bittersweet life was about to take this awfully sad turn. That man looks like her soul mate.”

Now how did these photos get to Jack?

Marsha Nussmeyer, sold the photos to Jack Jewers.  She was actually purchasing some film canisters from a yard sale in town.  She didn't realize they had film still inside.  She didn't want to just throw the film away so she sold it thinking someone could make artwork or something with them.  She never imagined this would happen. What's also pretty weird about this story is Marsha's dad had Helen as his teacher in 1969 at Bosse! So weird!!
