The New Power Rangers Costumes Are Here! And They Aren’t (Completely) Terrible!

There is a new Power Rangers movie coming out in 2017 and we finally know what the heroes will look like! Above is the first photo showing what the new Rangers will be sporting as they take on Rita Repulsa and her evil space aliens.

I don't know how I feel about the costumes as a whole. I was 6 when Power Rangers fever swept through every classroom in America. I couldn't wait to get home and see what the gang were up to that day. I still watch Power Rangers on Netflix from time-to-time so the series holds a special place in my heart. You can tell the costumes were heavily influenced from movies like Iron Man. The Red Ranger is basically Iron Man MK VII armor. Also, I've been playing a lot of the video game Destiny so I'm just imagining the rangers having to fight aliens and douchey kids on Xbox Live.

The Red Ranger looks the best. The Black Ranger suit looks like the terrible Robocop suit from the remake. I don't like that I can't tell anything about it. The Blue Ranger has a super weird helmet design that I don't love. And finally, the Pink and Yellow Rangers naturally have giant boobs designed into their costumes. Like, I understand that they want to fellas to be all turned on by the ladies, but damn, them some big ol' Megazords. I don't think we needed to sex up the Power Rangers. Even as a 6 year old, I still had a crush on Kimberly and she wasn't working any of that.

Again, this is just one picture and the movie will showcase more than just this. Even with the criticisms, I don't hate the designs. What do you think?
