Yep, I am recommending you watch a show about painting.

The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross (PBS)

The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross is one of those unexplainable things in pop culture. It's just a guy who can paint really, really fast, and really good. However, Bob Ross is iconic for his afro, soft voice, and those "happy little trees" he paints.

The show ran on PBS stations from the early 80s until the early 90s. The show is so relaxing and fun. You aren't going to watch the Joy of Painting for its storylines (there aren't any), instead, you'll watch because it reminds you of a simpler time. It's just a dude who is super into painting.

I have a hard time falling asleep sometimes and often have incidents of night terrors and sleep paralysis. It's pretty scary. Lately, I've been watching Bob Ross as I fall asleep and it really does help me. He's just so relaxing to listen to.
