For nearly 100 years, the Evansville Rescue Mission has been providing food, shelter and other basic services to men here in the Tristate. According to their Facebook page:

The ERM served over 190,000 meals in 2013; houses an average of 120 men each night; hosts an average of 25 teens each night in our YCC; provided Thanksgiving Food Boxes to 1400 families (over 5,000 people); provided Christmas gifts to over 250 families.

Also, according to a post this morning on their Facebook page, they are asking for the public's help. The ERM, located at 500 E Walnut Street in Evansville, is in need of bottled water and snacks to give to those who need refuge from the summer heat. They recommend individually wrapped/bags snacks and your donations can be dropped off at any of the Evansville Rescue Mission locations during normal business hours.
