I have always been a fan of the "dad bod."  About three years ago I saw an article referring what the dad bod is and why it should be widely accepted.  Either that article has finally made it's way into fame, or people are just realizing that many girls are loving it, probably guys too.

If you don't know what the dad bod is, it's men about college age, or post grad, who typically should be in the greatest shapes of their lives, but instead they end up looking like how your dad's body looks (unless if you have a super in-shape dad, then no, that's not what it looks like)

Why I love the "dad bod"

1.  I work my butt off in the gym and I know how much time it takes away from my daily life.  If my SO did that too, between work, school, and other daily activities, it would leave no time.

2.  Not saying that I approve of unhealthy lifestyles, there is a limit to the dad bod.  Being healthy is a privilege that one can forget about, but I enjoy a look that says "I'm gonna enjoy the dinner you made for me, and let's cuddle afterwards!"

3.  It gives a positive body image for males finally.  The media tends to focus on female body image, but males have it just as bad.  Every commercial and advertisement that features a male shirtless, he definitely has at least an 8 pack.

4.  He's always up for ice cream...even if it's 11:30 pm

5.  If you're not a fan of the dad bod, that's cool too.  Everyone should love their bodies, so this isn't a Shame list for guys who don't have dad bods either.
