TACO. PIZZA. WHAT A GLORIOUS COMBINATION.

I've been on a roll this week! I'm whippin' up all kinds of new recipes and I haven't been disappointed in my choices. My chicken salad turned out FAB and it motivated me to expand my horizons a bit more.

While searching Pinterest, I came across a recipe for taco pizza. As a pregnant lady, and just a hungry girl in general, I think I hear my tastebuds scream when I read those two words - TACO. PIZZA. I mean, what an incredible idea.

It actually took a tad more time than I originally intended, but it was well worth it. To save you some headache, just know that some things require a short amount of chilling in the fridge - so don't make everything at once like I did.

For starters, preheat your oven to 375 and set out your cream cheese to allow it to soften.

As for ingredients, you'll need:

2 tubes (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 cup (8 oz) sour cream
1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
1 envelope taco seasoning mix or 2 Tbsp homemade taco seasoning
1 medium tomato, chopped
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded lettuce
*NOTE: You can add/take away any taco toppings you prefer. Spice it up however your family likes it.

Directions:

Get out an ungreased cookie sheet and unroll the crescent rolls onto the pan to make a crust. Make sure you pinch together any perforations for a nice, solid crust.

Cook the crust at 375 for about 8 minutes, or until golden brown.

While that's cooking, start on your ground beef. Prepare your beef just like you would for normal tacos - cook, drain grease, return to pan and add taco seasoning.

Take your crust out and let cool. While your crust is cooling, whip together the sour cream and cream cheese to make the "sauce". Spread the sauce evenly onto the cooled crust. Then, place the crust with sauce into the fridge and let it chill for 10-20 minutes.

While that's cooling, start chopping up your veggies and other toppings.

Take your pan out of the fridge and spread your ground beef evenly on the crust. Then, add your other toppings and shredded cheese. Cut and serve!

I have tons of leftovers in my fridge that I cannot wait to eat later on today. Enjoy!
