If you're like me, and almost every other person alive, you have a Netflix account. If you're super similar to me, you have it because you're too poor to afford cable.

In my defense, cable really is insanely expensive. So, for the last two or three years since moving out of Mom's house, I've been binge-watching Netflix. I consider myself pretty seasoned in all the seasons Netflix has to offer. Comedies and dramas are my go-to, but I've dabbled in about every genre.

I finally consider myself knowledgeable enough to compile a list of my favorite Netflix shows and now I want to share them with you. Please, feel free to throw any suggestions my way. I'm always down to watch a new series.

1. Breaking Bad
This is #1 for many reasons. First, it's the greatest show of all time. Secondly, it's the greatest show of ALL. TIME. I think you get where I'm going with this. It's my favorite TV show out of all of them, and if you haven't watched it already, please do. It's the only show I've ever repeated - meaning I've watched the entire series more than once.

2. Shamless
This show recently started picking up traction and there's many reasons why. The actors and actresses are all hot AF, and it's hilariously funny. Not to mention, it has some sentimental moments in it that make me want to be a messed up Gallagher myself.

3. How to Get Away with Murder
Guys, this show is insane. I always seem to forget about it until a new season comes out, but once it does I'm hooked all over again. This show really plays up the storyline and shows what's unfolding from various viewpoints. By doing so, you discover more and more bombshells. Each episode, SOMETHING is revealed. I love it.

4. Scandal
I kind of came across this show by accident, but I'm glad I did. It's about a PR lady that works for the White House while having an affair with the President. It shows the ugly corruption of politics and what really goes on behind the scene (not really really, but I like to pretend). I think it's final season just started, which makes me sad.

5. Bloodline
This is a Netflix original series, but the content is so good. It reminds me of a drama I'd watch on ABC or HBO, but I don't even have to wait a week for the next showing because the entire season is already there. It's a story about a family full of secrets...so things stay interesting.

6. Orange is the New Black
Could I really make a list without mentioning OITNB? I'll admit it - I watched the first couple episodes of this show when it first came out and it really didn't do anything for me. For whatever reason, I picked it back up a couple seasons in and now I'm hooked. I can't wait for the next season.

7. Ozark
YOU GUYS! I just finished the first season of Ozark a couple weeks ago and WOW. It was awesome! It gives me a similar feel of Bloodline, which makes sense because it's also a Netflix original. I'm surprised more people aren't talking about this show because it's so good! You have to check it out.

8. 13 Reasons Why
This show caused quite an uproar after its debut...and for good reason. This series really hits home for me. I've battled both depression and anxiety for a number of years and hearing about this show made me hopeful. I think seeing the reality of what a lot of people deal with on a daily basis might actually help people. Some people argued that it glamorizes suicide, but I think publicly calling attention to such a "hush-hush" topic is awesome.

9. The Good Place
This is kind of a quirky comedy I stumbled across by accident. It's got Kristen Bell in it, who I'm a big fan of, so I'm glad I decided to check it out. It's funny and also a little edgy, so you're not bored to death. I think another season of it just premiered, so I'll be awaiting its release on Netflix.

10. Dexter
I always make lists of my favorite things and then realize I need 10 more spots to give away. However, I couldn't make a top 10 Netflix list without including Dexter. This was the first series I ever watched on Netflix, so I credit it for my customer loyalty. It's got enough seasons to keep you busy for a while and each season is a new pursuit by the main character. It's interesting, if you're into murder and stuff.

Well, the list could really go on and on. I'll add a few more shows for good balance. The following are also great TV shows you can find on Netflix:

Santa Clarita Diet
Girl Boss
Love
Grace & Frankie
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

I also have to add that I kind of half-ass watched Stranger Things, but I can't put it on this list until I watch it again. This time, I promise to give it my full attention. Everyone talks about how incredible it is, and they can't all be wrong. I'm sure once I take the time to give it the attention it deserves, I'll agree.

Please let me know your favorite Netflix shows. I'm always looking for a new series to watch!
