Terrified Dad Rides an Amusement Park Ride
I saw this video from “The Today Show” and it reminded me of myself as a kid. I was terrified of big rides. I refused to go on anything that would go upside down, and truth be told, I really just hated heights – so I just rode the kiddy rides.
The first time I ever went on a ride that took me upside down was at a local fair – it was called “The Loop-O-Plane.” I remember my grandpa telling me that he would buy me some nachos if I would ride it, and let’s face it, I will do anything for some nachos.
I stood in line fearing for my life, and when it was my turn to ride – they locked me in the steel cage! I thought I was going to die. It started swinging back and forth and eventually in full circles, taking me upside down – I loved it! I rode it like four more times that day.
