Are Taylor Swift + Carrie Underwood Frenemies?
On the surface, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood seem to get along pretty well – but a deeper look reveals that the two blond country sensations aren’t exactly BFFs. Does that mean we should brace ourselves for some hair-pulling drama at this year’s Grammy Awards?
“I’m not close to her,†remarked Underwood about Swift in a recent interview with Allure magazine. “We run into each other at events. We’re never in the same place at the same time.â€
Us Weekly reports that one of Swift’s so-called pals made the following statement: “Taylor feels Carrie is always rude to her, so she steers clear of her.†However, there might be a reason for this: perhaps Swift is still bitter about the sarcastic jabs that Underwood and Brad Paisley made about her love life – and her music – while hosting the CMA Awards last November.
A source also told Us Weekly that “Grammy execs were ordered to keep the two ‘from crossing paths’ at the February 10 show ‘since they hate each other!’â€
Both singers’ reps have yet to lend this story any weight; in fact, they maintain that the rumors are “100 percent untrue.†Still, we’ll be on the lookout for cat fights on the red carpet this weekend!
