Spring is here, and that means planting season - but did you know some of your plants could poison your pets? I have been working on starting seeds to put out in the garden, and I got to wondering if there is anything that I need to be concerned about my 2 kitties coming into contact with. I have always heard that certain houseplants - as well as outdoor plants - can be poisonous to our four-legged friends, but I can never remember which ones are safe and which ones I need to avoid to keep my kitties safe and healthy. Did you know that Aloe plants are poisonous to pets? What about Chamomile? It's poisonous too!
Here are a few that I did not know!
- Aloe
- Amaryllis
- Baby's Breath

Those are only a few... Most forms of Ivy, Lilly, and Fern are also toxic. You can find a very large list of plants that are poisonous to your pets on the ASPCA website. Take a minute to look through the list and make sure that your pets aren't at risk!
