The 96th annual West Side Nut Club Fall Festival kicks off October 2nd, and our friends at It Takes a Village could use a few extra volunteers to work their food booth.
Remember all that money you spent at the Fall Festival a few weeks ago? Well, the West Side Nut Club takes that money (after covering their expenses) and distributes it to several organizations around the city of Evansville. On Tuesday, they announced a few of the organizations who received donations on their Facebook page.
During our trip to the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival on Thursday, Gavin and I ran into Evansville Police Chief Billy Bolin who offered to take us up to the roof of the Gerst Haus at the corner of 10th and Franklin to see what his officers see while keeping an eye out for any suspicious or mischievous activities.
Gavin and I spent some time at the Fall Festival strolling up and down Franklin Street trying a variety of the different foods available, including the Potato Tornado from the Daniel Wertz Elementary School booth (number 120), who were nice enough to let us go "behind the booth" to see how they make their delicious treat.
