Japan Earthquake Serves As Reminder of Earthquake Threats in Indiana
As I discussed with Dr. Joseph DiPietro from USI, we in the tri-state sit on two major seismic zones, the New Madrid and the Wabash Valley. In light of today's 8.9 magnitude earthquake in Japan, The Indiana Department of Homeland Security (INDHS) wants to make sure Hoosiers are prepared in the event either of these zones become active.
