Join us for the 9th Annual Four Freedoms Veterans Parade taking place November 10th along Franklin Street from Wabash Avenue of Flags to St Joe Avenue.
Across the country on Monday, Americans observed Veterans Day, commemorating the service of its military men and women, active and retired, or killed in action.
The River City Thunderbolts, an Evansville-based, military vehicle preservation group, is looking to surpass last year's total of 39 entries for this year's event scheduled to take place at 2:30pm on Saturday, November 10th.
Just in case you thought the military is full of dumb, trigger-happy brutes, here's a video that I hope will change your mind. As a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, I can honestly say that military service breeds a special kind of person that is just as productive to society as a civilian as they are as a soldier! Support your local veterans!
