Samstrong.org, a website started by Newburgh resident and former St. Jude patient, Sam Featherstone, held a fundraiser at St. John the Baptist church in Newburgh Thursday night for the Memphis, Tennessee based children's hospital. Thanks to the tri-state's generosity, they were able to collect a sizable amount money.

We've heard stories over this first day of our radiothon from St. Jude patients that talk about "the bright colored walls", and how St. Jude isn't a scary place for them or their families. Back in January of last year, I had the opportunity to visit the St. Jude campus and see first hand not only the amazing things they're doing day in and day out to help put an end to childhood cancer and other diseases, but the decor itself these brave young people are talking about.
