SNL Sets Miley Cyrus, Amy Schumer and Tracy Morgan As 2015 Premiere Hosts

The summer of 2015 has afforded far too many absurd and newsworthy sagas for SNL to sit out, and Season 41 is already exploding off the bench. Not only will Miley Cyrus host the October premiere, but SNL will follow up with Amy Schumer, and a momentous return for alumni Tracy Morgan.

The Rob’s SNL Rewind

This weekend was the conclusion of Saturday Night Live's epic 40th season!  Louis C.K. hosted the affair with the musical entertainment provided by one of my favorites, Rihanna (although I wasn't crazy about her set).  Louis C.K. stirred up a great deal of controversy with his monologue, which you can find on this website, and while THAT was actually my favorite part of the show, I enjoyed the cold-open as well, which is the segment I will share.  It shows how excited Hillary Clinton is for her upcoming summer vacation.

The Rob’s SNL Rewind – Mr. Westerberg

This weekend's Saturday Night Live hosted by Reese Witherspoon with musical guest Florence + The Machine had some high points and low points.  Some of the sketches (including the monologue with cast members' real-life mothers) have been going viral, but a short, prerecorded, humorous sketch had me rolling.  Check out "Mr. Westerberg"!

SNL Forces the Cast to Apologize to Their Actual Mothers

Last night’s generally unremarkable episode of SNL peaked early when it took advantage of its proximity to Mother’s Day to do something kind of remarkable. As part of her opening monologue, guest host Reese Witherspoon declared that the show was going to mark the occasion by bringing each cast member out with his or her mother...and then forcing them to apologize for their childhood transgressions.

The Rob’s SNL Rewind – Baltimore Orioles

There was a brand new live episode of Saturday Night Live this weekend.  I had high hopes with an A-list host like Scarlett Johansson and a musical guest like Wiz Khalifa!  The episode was decent at best, but of course there were some segments that me laughing out loud.  This sketch had me laughing, parodying the Baltimore Orioles VS Chicago White Sox game played last week inside of an empty stadium.  My favorite moment occurs at the 3:11 mark, if you don't laugh there, something is wrong with you.

The Rock Talks Trash on SNL [SNL REWIND]

Boy was I happy to see Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson hosting "Saturday Night Live" four a fourth time this weekend, the night before WrestleMania no less!  I remember vividly the first time he hosted, I was junior in high school, right before WrestleMania 2000.  There were a lot of great sketches on the episode, but this one spoke to me most, for obvious reasons.  Watch Rock, as Koko WatchOut talk trash to his WrestleMania opponent Trashyard Mutt played by Bobby Moynihan!

Adam Sandler Recalls How Much Chris Farley Used to Eat at SNL

Now give this a chance. It might sound boring – Adam Sandler talks about food with Conan O’Brien – but the former Saturday Night Live stars (Sandler was, of course, a cast member, while O’Brien as a long-time writer) have some pretty tall tales to share about their time on the show, specifically as it applies to meals.

SNL Recap – Dakota Johnson Literally Can’t Even

As I'm sure you know by now, I'm a HUGE fan of "Saturday Night Live."  There was a new live episode this weekend, this time hosted by 50 Shades of Grey's own Anastacia Steele herself, Ms. Dakota Johnson!  While there were plenty of jokes about the movie, my particular favorite sketch was a quick piece with Dakota, Cecily Stong, Bobby Moynihan, and Aidy Bryant.  The foursome are poking fun at the lingo of today's youth, which let's be honest, is something we all do.
