News Reporters On Air Slip-Up Leads to Awkward Moment

Speaking is what I do for a living. It's what puts food on the table, a roof over my family's heads, and keeps the lights on. Every once in awhile though, my brain and my mouth don't want to play nicely with each other and what my mouth says isn't exactly what my brain was thinking. For example, many years ago I left the letter 'r' out of the word "shirt" live on the air. Funny how removing one letter completely changes things isn't it? With that in mind, I can certainly sympathize with with this poor guy.
