As many had predicted, Lady Gaga sold over 1 million copies of 'Born This Way' in its first week of release. The exact number is 1.11 million copies, according to EW.com, making it the 10th-highest debut for a CD, and the best-selling debut since 50 Cent's 'The Massacre' sold 1.14 million copies in March 2005.
Justin Timberlake teamed up with Andy Samberg on this weekend's "Saturday Night Live" season finale for another riotous Digital Short. The duo reprised their much-loved Color Me Badd satire, following up 2008's "D**k in a Box" and 2009's "Motherlover" with a slow jam called "3-Way (The Golden Rule)." In the video, Timberlake and Samberg, while preparing for dates, realize they're courting the same lady: Lady Gaga, in fact, who was the night's musical guest. Lady Gaga is officially more powerful than Oprah. So says Forbes, anyway.
On Wednesday, the magazine released its annual Celebrity 100 List, on which the Queen Monster ranked number one.
Lady Gaga achieved a major milestone over the weekend, passing the 10 million follower count on Twitter. Gaga is the first to reach the 10 million mark on the social networking site.
Mashable reported that the pop star was also the first person to reach 10 million fans on Facebook. Gaga now has more than 34 million fans on Facebook.
It appears it was a bad romance after all: According to the Toronto Sun, Lady Gaga has officially split from her 30-year-old boyfriend, drummer Luc Carl.
Gaga confirmed the news Friday during an interview on 'The Graham Norton Show.'
"No, I don't have a boyfriend and haven't been on any dates recently," she said.
One week before the Born This Way album hits stores, Lady Gaga will release another track from the album. This one is called "Hair" and will be available for download on May 23rd. Rumor is this one has that 80's feel that several of the latest Gaga songs have shared
