The second trailer for Demolition still doesn’t seem to be doing any favors for the latest film from Jean-Marc Vallee, the director who previously brought us critically acclaimed films Wild and Dallas Buyers Club. Still, with those credits under his belt and with the help of Jake Gyllenhaal, maybe there’s something special to be found in Demolition yet.
Naomi Watts’ is the second-billed star in Jean-Marc Vallée’s Demolition. On the film’s official Fox Searchlight website, her name appears above the title next to Jake Gyllenhaal’s. But she barely appears in the film’s trailer. She’s onscreen for less than one second. She says just three words. (“You miss her?”) It’s almost like the trailer is trying to hide her.
Hollywood has seen its fair share of movies where man attempts to conquer nature, only to find himself thoroughly humbled. Everest looks to continue that trend, putting one of the best ensembles in recent memory smack-dab in the middle of Mother Nature’s wrath. As the title implies, the film deals with an expedition up the world’s tallest mountain going oh-so-horribly wrong. As the trailer shows us, an Everest expedition going wrong looks like an incredible movie.
Remember that photo from a few months ago of a completely ripped Jake Gyllenhaal in a boxing movie? If you’ve wanted to see more from that movie, today brings us the official trailer for Southpaw, with Jake Gyllenhaal in a role like you've never seen him before.
Actor Jake Gyllenhaal is currently dating Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Emily DiDonato -- who, miraculously, hasn't yet been conquered by Leonardo DiCaprio.
Quick, stick a flag in her and claim her for the United States of Gyllenhaal before it's too late!
