On Saturday, I made the trip to Santa Claus, IN for a live broadcast at Holiday World and Splashin' Safari. It was a big day for our great local theme park for two reasons. 1.) It was the first day of the 2012 season for Splashin' Safari, and 2.) it marked the debut of their newest water coaster, The Mammoth.
April 23, 2012 May 5th marks the opening of the 2012 season at Holiday World followed by the opening of Splashin' Safari the following Saturday, May 12th. After debuting their first ever water coaster, The Wildebeest in 2010 to rave reviews including being voted the number one water park ride on the planet by Amusement Today magazine in 2010 and 2011, Holiday World and Splashin' Safari decided 2012 was the right time to kick it up a level by debuting The Mammoth.
Kat Mykals was live yesterday at Circle K across from Family Video on First Ave giving away a Mt. Dew Summer Splashdown Prize pack which includes 4 Mt. Dew beach bags, 4 Mt. Dew Beach towels, 4 Mt. Dew Hats, a $25 gas card, and 4 tickets to Holiday World & Splashin' Safari!. B
