During a press conference earlier today, Mayor-Elect Lloyd Winnecke announced Sargent Billy Bolin as his new Chief of the Evansville Police Department. Bolin is a native of Evansville and a graduate of Harrison High School (as a Mater Dei grad, I won't hold it against him)
As a guy, there's not too many things that bring me more joy than seeing something get destroyed. Four years ago when Evansville Police officers and Firefighters decided to put on a charity boxing match to benefit local children, 911 Gives Hope and Guns & Hoses were born. After the first Guns & Hoses, 911 gives hope was able to distribute about $20,000 to local children's charities.
Tonight's the night! Local cops and firefighters will step into the boxing ring to duke it out for charity.
