Stop Telling Me to Get Off My Phone

Technology is amazing, right?  Why are we constantly being shamed when we use it?  I agree, there is a time when we shouldn't be on our phones, for example, when we're talking to someone, dinner, and of course while we're driving.

Do you ever realize that every older generation will always think the world is coming to an end because of what the younger population has become??? That's what their parents thought about them as well, it's called evolution and adaptation to our environment.  (If you remember back to the older centuries, people were killed for the fun of it and it wasn't questioned whether it was moral or not, so I firmly disagree that we're the havoc seeking generation)

Ever been in an extremely awkward situation, who was there to save you??? Your phone. Phones provide comfort.  Walking in dark alleys or uncertain areas allow people to talk to a loved one (you know, so if you're murdered they can hear you die)  But anyway.

Older generations were on the phones all the time as well, but mainly between the time of 7pm to 10pm, and holding up the line for all the other family members to use it.  Clearly having our own device is better for the whole family.

Our phones are marvelous.  I will not be shamed for checking my phone every couple of minutes.

Some people work from their phone completely.  How amazing is that?  You don't have to be at a place one dreads, but anywhere they please.

Everything is at our fingertips.  People argue all the time that we need more education....But guess what, there's this thing called a smart phone featuring the internet and it has all the answers.

Be more social!  Being social is a positive thing.  No more does your mom have to beg you to call Aunt Linda...Now she's on Facebook and you can interact with her while including visuals.

I spend so much a month, I better get all the use out of it that I can.

Why would we just shun amazing things?  Would you shun pizza??? No.

In conclusion, never feel ashamed of being on your phone.  Sure you may get a humpback later on in life...but remember that hilarious meme of a puppy surfing??? Totes worth it.
