St. Jude Patients Say ‘Thanks’ with Special Holiday Video

As you may know, 106-1 KISS-FM along with our sister-stations are the Evansville area's media partners for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. One of the amazing things about St. Jude is that they are able to offer their ground-breaking research and treatment of childhood cancers completely free of charge to families of their patients thanks to your donations. As a way to say "thank you", a few of the patients got together for special holiday video.

I dare you not to smile while watching this. The fact that these kids can smile and laugh while dealing with more adversity than most of us will experience in a lifetime is truly something magical and puts an exclamation point on the fact that what St. Jude does for these kids is nothing short of miraculous.

Back in January, I had the chance to visit the campus of St. Jude and see up-close the tremendous work they do in fighting childhood cancer. I came home from that trip with a renewed appreciation for my own two kids who admittedly drive me absolutely insane sometimes, but are perfectly healthy. The trip also inspired me to do what I can to help raise funds for an organization that has done so much for so many over the years. Which reminds me, our 2nd annual St. Jude radiothon is coming on February 23rd and 24th during which I will look to you to join me as a St. Jude Partner in Hope. Believe me, at the risk of sounding cheesy or cliched, once you make the commitment, you'll be glad you did.
