The Southwestern Indiana Chamber of Commerce was named Chamber of the Year during an award ceremony held by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) in Savannah, Georgia.

The Chamber announced the win Wednesday night on their Facebook page:

The Chamber announced it was recognized as a national finalist in late June after a lengthy application process which includes "an in-depth National Chamber of the Year application" and "a personal interview at the ACCE Convention."

The other two nominees for Chamber of the Year were the Bowling Green Area (Ky.) Chamber of Commerce and Gainesville Area (Fla.) Chamber of Commerce.

The Southwestern Indiana Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization with a membership that includes 1,700 businesses, organizations, and agencies dedicated to taking a proactive and strategic approach toward identifying, anticipating, and responding to challenges faced by members and the regional business community at large.
