About half of the users for Snapchat are under the age of 18, and Snapchat wants minors to understand that sending illegal items, nude pics, or offensive material should be reconsidered. They are now updating with a Snapchat Safety center to help with these issues.

“Keep it legal. Don’t use Snapchat for any illegal shenanigans and if you’re under 18 or are Snapping with someone who might be: keep your clothes on

“Don’t send people Snaps they don’t want to receive—especially if the Snap is mean.”

“Be thoughtful about what you Snap and whom you send it to. It’s okay with us if someone takes a screenshot, but we can’t speak for you or your friends. Snapchat attempts to detect screenshots and notify the sender, but it doesn’t always work perfectly – and your friend can always capture the image with a camera.”      -Snapchat Safety Center

This app was so amazing in the beginning since pictures would just go away after a few seconds (unless screenshot) but now there's no saying where your pics are going after someone receives them.  Also, one thing to realize is if you have a picture of someone under the age of 18, even if you are also underage, it's STILL child pornography.
