Santa Claus is coming to town — and he wants to go ice skating with you!

About once a year, my family and I will head over to Swonder to do some skating. The funny thing is that my kids will beg to go, then once we get on the ice, I can't get them to let go of the wall. I'm not that great at it myself, but trying to keep myself balanced while a 50 or 80 pound kid has a death grip on my arm to keep themselves upright makes it that more difficult. I'm curious how Santa does it with that "bowl full of jelly" he carries around.

Find out on Saturday, December 15th from 1-3:30pm during the 3rd annual Skate with Santa. Sprazzo Studios will be on hand to take your picture with Kris Kringle for just $10 per picture from 1-3pm with all proceeds benefiting the Evansville Rescue mission. Then Santa will lace up the skates and take to the ice for a public skate from 3-3:30pm. Regular admission rates apply. For more holiday happenings coming up at Swonder call 479-0989.

Hopefully it goes better for you than it did for these two:
