Showplace Cinemas Announce $1 Summer Movie Schedule

Even though Spring just started, Summer Vacation isn't too far away which means trying to find fun, and preferably cheap, activities to keep the kids from making you pull every last hair out of your head. Fortunately, Showplace Cinemas has you covered with an eight week run of family-friendly movies for just $1.00 per ticket!

Showings will take place on Tuesdays at Showplace East, Wednesdays at Showplace Newburgh, Henderson, Princeton, and Connersville, as well as their Harrisburg, Illinois location, and Thursdays at Showplace North and South beginning June 6th. All showings are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. each day.

The complete schedule is as follows:

• June 6th-8th: Angry Birds (PG)
• June 13th-15th: Kung-Fu Panda (PG)
• June 20th-22nd: Ice Age: Collision Course (PG)
• June 27th-29th: Trolls (PG)
• July 5th-6th: The Wild Life (PG)*
• July 11th-13th: Storks (PG)
• July 18th-20th: Secret Life of Pets (PG)
• July 25th-27th: Sing (PG)

*Due to July 4th falling on a Tuesday, the Showplace East showing of 'The Wild Life' will be on Wednesday, July 5th.

Plus, as if $1.00 movie tickets weren't already a great deal, the Showplace Cinemas' concessions stands will offer Kid's Tray special each week which includes a kid's popcorn, and drink for only $2.50!

It should be noted that Showplace North now offers reclining seats meaning all ticket purchases need to be made in advance. Fortunately, you can take care of that through the convenience of the Showplace Cinemas website.
