Sometimes I wonder if the people of Asia are too bored for their own good. The video you're about to watch is from a recent Sepak Takraw match. Which, from what I can tell, is a mix of volleyball, hacky-sack, soccer, and kung-fu.

According to Sepaktekraw.org, the self-proclaimed "...digital home" and "The first and only international portal on all things Sepaktakraw", the origins of the sport are shrouded in mystery, but some believe it dates as far back as 11th century in countries such as the Philippines, Indonesia, and Laos.

The name Sepak Takraw comes from the Malay word "sepak" which means "kick" or "smash" and the Thai word Takraw which is the name of the ball used during play. I could sit here and try to explain it to you or you could check out the official rules at sepaktekraw.org OR you could just check out the video below. Trust me, you'll be mesmerized by the athleticism.
