A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to take a quick tour of Marengo Cave in Marengo, Indiana during a live broadcast and found it to be a mesmerizing experience.

This was not my first experience with a cave/cavern tour. It was my second (which makes me like a veteran cave explorer, right?). The first being earlier this year when my family and I spent a few days in the St. Louis area over Spring Break, and traveled over to Meramec Caverns (about 45 minutes west of downtown St. Louis). Fortunately for us, Marengo is a much shorter drive at around an hour and a half, and the sights are just as spectacular.

We weren't able to take the full tour that Marengo Cave offers, but we (myself and Chad from our sister-station, WBKR in Owensboro) did get a quick "highlight" tour through a few of the caves more famous locations. Here's a few of the things we saw:
