Today's entry is by request from Facebook fan, Heather Hart and features two pretty-boys who ultimately wound up at the center of one of music's biggest controversies. That's right, today I'm bringing you...Milli Vanilli. If you don't like it, blame Heather.

I assume that you know the story of Milli Vanilla if not, here's a quick refresher. The band was comprised of members Rob Pilatus and Fabrice Morvan and took the world by storm with the good looks and catchy songs like Blame it on the Rain and Girl You Know it's True. They even won the Grammy award for Best New Artist in 1990.

The fame was short lived however when it was brought to the public's attention that Pilatus & Morvan were nothing more frauds. They were two models hired to lip-sync songs that had been written and recorded by studio musicians. To this day, they are the only artist in the history of the Grammy's to be stripped of their award. After the scandal, the duo attempted to resurrect their career, but to no avail. The story ended tragically for Pilatus when he body was discovered in a German hotel in April of 1998 after mixing a deadly cocktail of pills and alcohol.

As the old saying goes, "time heals all wounds". And that may be the case here as I will get requests for Milli Vanilla during the All Old School On Demand Lunch on Friday's. It seems that even though people know the back story, they're OK with it, and still enjoy the songs for whatever reason. Maybe they find them humorous because of the back story, or maybe it's because in all reality, the songs are everything we love about pop music, they're catchy no matter who sang them.

So here you go, Blame it on the Rain from Milli Vanilli. Thanks for the suggestion Heather!
