Ryan Finds a Better Use for the “As Seen on TV” Slushy Cup [PHOTO]

If you've ever bought an "As Seen on TV" product, you unfortunately know first-hand they don't always work as well as the commercial may suggest, but that doesn't mean they can't be used in another fashion.

Case in point, cups that imply you can turn any liquid into a delicious slushy treat just by squeezing or shaking it vigorously for a given amount of time like the one my daughter got for Christmas. This particular cup features a liner filled with gel (like a freezer pack you throw in a lunch box) you keep in the freezer. Like the box says, simply fill with your favorite juice or fruit-flavored drink and squeeze repeatedly until that liquid magically turns into a delicious frozen treat!

Does it work? Technically, yes. If you don't mind squeezing the cup for 10-15 minutes straight and having your hands cramp up to the point where you look like you have permanent kung-fu grip. But who wants that (other than maybe really lonely dudes)?

However, all is not lost with this particular product, as I found a better use for it over the weekend.
