Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley Presents the Lights of Love Gala

Tis the season for gathering, goodwill and giving- -exactly what’s on tap for the second annual Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley Lights of Love Gala, November 15, 2013, at the Old Vanderburgh County Courthouse at 6:00 PM!

Mingle to merry music with a live band, cheer the season with our holiday cocktail concoctions, delight your taste buds with our holiday Hors d'oeuvres, and grab great gifts at our Silent Auction! The highlight of the evening will be watching our tree go from bare to bedazzled as guests purchase their bling to support the Ronald McDonald House! All proceeds go to help us continue to provide a home away from home for families of critically ill children.

The local Ronald McDonald House serves an average of 1,000 children, parents and extended family members annually with an average length of stay of eight days. The facility, on Washington Avenue next to St. Mary’s Medical Center, opened on Jan. 18, 2010. It supports the families of children receiving medical treatment at area hospitals and medical facilities, with a primary focus on the families of neonatal, pediatric and intensive-care patients. The global nonprofit was honored by the American Hospital Association in 2012 for being an exceptional partner in the delivery of health care services, a testament that RMHC is part of the continuum of care that facilitates improved outcomes for children.
