Rihanna to Make Big Screen Debut Next Summer

According to PopCrush.com, Rihanna will make her acting debut next summer in the movie Battleship. The pop diva will play Officer Raikes, alongside other actors such as Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgård, and Brooklyn Decker.

If you're thinking, "Wait a minute...isn't 'Battleship' a board game?" Yes...yes it is. This of course begs the question, "When will the 'Hungry, Hungry Hippos' movie be released?" (OK, may that question shouldn't be asked...ever.)

Rihanna had to undergo intense training to prepare for the role. She was required to run around a ship, lift weights and swim, along with taking orders from a drill sergeant type. Rihanna said this about her intense training.

One man drilled me, yelled at me, cursed me out, made me do pushups. My best friend was there and I told her, ‘I’m about to do acting class, you’re gonna want to kill this man but please, just stay in the other room.’ She would come in and just look around and be like, ‘Did he just say F.U. to her?
