Red Cross Allows Donors to Schedule Appointments Through New App

The new app makes scheduling donations as easy as a few taps on your smartphone or tablet screen.

The new Blood Donor App is available now through both the App Store and Google Play, and gives users the opportunity to not only schedule their blood donation appointments, but sync it with the calendar on their mobile device.

Other features include accessing the devices camera app so they can take a "donation selfie" to share through their favorite social media account, along with badges they can acquire as they interact with the app, and the ability to network with other donors in the area to form teams and track the lifetime impact of their donations.

The app will also include exclusive offers and discounts from the Red Cross and its national partner companies including Shari's Berries and ProFlowers.com.
