As if the Water and Sewer bills weren't high enough already, ANOTHER RATE INCREASE has been approved for the city of Evansville! The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission which is led by five commissioners appointed by the Governor, approved the increase last week. The commission regulates electric, natural gas, telecommunications, steam, water and sewer utilities.

The first phase of the new rate increase is set to take effect in 2019 with two more between now and 2021.These new rate increases are supposed to fund over $116 Million in new capital projects. The exact amount of the increase will depend on the customers usage.
