The winter weather has taken it's toll on everything from people, to homes, to water mains, and city roads.

Between the brutally cold temperatures combined with rain, ice, and snow, and everyday driving, our streets have taken a nasty beating over the last couple of months that has lead to cracks and in some cases, deep potholes that if hit just right can cause damage to vehicles.

City residents will have the opportunity to make repair requests during the following two City of Evansville Road Meetings hosted by Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke and City Engineer Pat Keepes:

  • February 26th, 5:30 to 7 p.m., at Plaza Park International Academy, 7301 Outer Lincoln Avenue
  • March 3rd, 10 to 11 a.m., Stringtown Branch Library, 2100 Stringtown Road

Outside of allowing repair recommendations from the public, the meetings will share information about 2014 road projects. Each meeting will begin with a PowerPoint presentation followed by a question and answer session, with the February 26 road meeting at Plaza Park being part of Mayor Winnecke’s monthly Traveling City Hall meeting.
