Police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured at the East Side Walmart store last night. It happened just before 9 p.m. near one of the store entrances

The identity of the victim and the extent of the injuries is not known at this time.

Police believe that the victim was followed into the parking lot by a vehicle. A witness told police that altercation took place between the victim and occupants of the other vehicle at the Lloyd and Stockwell. The victim then fled to the Walmart where three shots were fired.

The alleged shooter is described by police as a black male in his early 20s wearing a blue shirt.

UPDATE: Police have arrested Isaiah Green, 24, for shooting a man at Walmart. Police spotted a vehicle matching the description provided by witnesses at the Arbors Apartments where they arrested Green.

The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Anthony Tavon Burns. He was shot in the back while trying to flee and is in an Evansville hospital.
