So I did a thing. Along with 107 others.

I decided a few months ago to check Tough Mudder off of my bucket list. My friends and I along with what seems like ALL of Orangetheory Fitness Evansville decided to sign up for the Tough Mudder Nashville. We chose the full which was 10 miles and 20 obstacles. Yes, I had to put down the pizza and tacos and hydrate all last week!

Saturday, September 15 at 10:30am was our start time. Everyone was super pumped and decked out in our super cute orange tanks! It was definitely mind over matter. I knew I could do it, although I was super slow and had to walk a LOT towards the end!

The course was made up of hills, creeks, woods, rocks, you name it! Not to mention the obstacles. I made sure I tried EVERY obstacle but one (health wise I couldn't- Electroshock Therapy- yes you get electrocuted!) There were different names for each obstacle and my favorites definitely included water! Especially the ice bath one, it definitely felt good in the heat. I think I surprised myself as did many of my teammates!

Finally, I made it along with the 107 others. The way everyone came together to help over come the obstacles was AMAZING and there's no one else I would rather cross that finish line with! Of course we got to finish off the race with a nice ice cold beer and it was so worth it! Plus I was so ready for tacos and water. We hit up downtown Nashville to celebrate the day.

Now it's off to start training for next year!
