Families looking for an activity a little less scary than the normal Halloween fare are invited to the Ohio Township Fire Station this Saturday for their Halloween Fire event from Noon until 3 p.m.

The event is hosted by the station's Cadet Program which is basically like a scout troop geared towards young people interested in a career as a firefighter.

The event will include games and booths featuring candy and refreshments for everyone who stops by as well as a costume contest at 1:00 p.m. The station's fire trucks will also be on display for kids to see and take pictures with.

Cadets at the station are asking everyone who attends to bring a canned or non-perishable food item for donation to the Salvation Army to help feed those in need during the upcoming holiday season.
