The Evansville Parks Foundation invites you to join them for a Twilight Tour through Oak Hill Cemetery to learn more about several of the historically significant individuals who have been laid to rest there.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 22nd, and will feature local actors dressed as a few of the more significant names buried within the cemetery such as Judge Azro Dyer, the first judge of the Vanderburgh County Superior Court, Saleta Evans, who founded Evans Hall in 1878 (now the Children's Museum of Evansville) to serve as a meeting hall for the Women's Christian Temperance Union, and both an unnamed Confederate Soldier and Union Soldier from the Civil War. The actors will share information about the individuals they represent as visitors pass by the grave sites.

Tickets for the event are $15 each and are available now through PayPal.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Parks Foundation's Adopt-An-Ash program aimed at treating ash trees in the area (many of which are located within Oak Hill Cemetery) to prevent the infestation of the Emerald Ash Borer.
