First of all, I had NO IDEA what ZOMG even meant, and now that I do, I have NO IDEA why it belongs in the dictionary! Apparently someone, somewhere decided that because we use these terms and phrases in the cyber world, and we spend so much of our time hanging out there, that they deserve a place of honor on the English Dictionary.

Thanks to Today.com, here are a few that made it in, their definition according to the Oxford Dictionary, and then you will find the Kat definition...

Cyber Monday - (in the US) the Monday following Thanksgiving, promoted by online retailers as a day for exceptional bargains

This is one of those made up Corporate America Days. You know, like Black Friday, so called because for most retailers it is the FIRST time ALL year that their profits ledgers will actually move out of the red into the black. Yes, the day after Thanksgiving is the first day in the fiscal year where retailers will FINALLY show a profit.

infographic - a visual image such as a chart or diagram used to represent information or data: a good infographic is worth a thousand words

Now see, we had a word for these when I was growing up... They were simply called charts!!!

meep - a short, high-pitched sound, especially as emitted by an animal or a vehicle's horn: the kitten released a terrified meep

Ok now this one... this one is special. While I know this to actually be a word (think back)... It did describe their sound, but it isn't NEW... Got it yet? Think... Think Muppets... Think Beeker *MeeP*

nekkid- (of a person) naked:some of the oldest photos in existence are of nekkid women

REALLY!?!? This one almost flat out ticks me off!! Now, I will admit to pronouncing the word N-A-K-E-D this way from time to time (only in moments of extreme randomness, NEVER in a public setting), but I would NEVER, EVER purposefully misspell the word! Ugh! Next...

Twittersphere - postings made on the social networking site Twitter, considered collectively: the Twittersphere was abuzz when the story first broke

This one baffles me. Here's why: Read the sample sentence above for the word Twittersphere. Now, substitute that word with... are you ready for this? TWITTER! Wow! Look at that! The sentence still reads the same, and loses NONE of it's context! Crazy!

Here are some earlier entries into the Oxford Dictionaries, including 'light-bulb moment', 'prolly', and even 'nom nom' (I wish I were making this up!)

And here it is... My late night infomercial moment.... BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE! If you click RIGHT now you can find EVEN MORE random words that do NOT belong in an English dictionary... LIKE... 'LOL', 'OMG', and don't forget about 'wassup'
