Caitlyn Boyd, the North Posey High School student who was set to appear on TV during the current audition rounds of NBC's The Voice, announced on her Facebook page Monday evening that unforeseen circumstances have forced her to step away from the competition before getting a chance to perform in front of the coaches.

The Evansville Courier & Press was the first to report Caitlyn's withdrawl in an article posted Monday evening.

Citing "sudden family problems," Caitlyn says she was unable to make it to Los Angeles for the final week of the show's Audition rounds.

We certainly hope everything works out for Caitlyn, and look forward to seeing her on a future season of The Voice.
