After several months of sitting empty, Newburgh's Old Country Store has been given new life thanks to two local entrepreneurs.

Debra Rhodes had been running her business, Re: Creation Design Studios, out of a smaller space on Highway 261 and saw an opportunity to expand her growing small business after several of her customers suggested she check out the space in the Old Country Store. After convincing her husband the investment would be worth the risk, they reopened the building as The Refinery in October of 2015, adding Lucid Coffee Bar to provide local consumers the opportunity to purchase unique hand-crafted items created both locally and internationally, while enjoying a delicious cup of coffee.

See what The Refinery has to offer in my chat with Debra below.

During my visit to The Refinery, I also spoke with Lucid Coffee Bar owner, Ben Madson about how he, his wife, and her parents got into the coffee-making business, their partnership with The Refinery, and what sets his coffee apart from everyone else's.

Stop by and check out both The Refinery and Lucid for yourself next time you're in Newburgh, and for more information, visit The Refinery on Facebook.
