Saturday the October 22nd, is a big day in Downtown Newburgh.  Start your day with trick or treating at 2 pm and participating in the Ghostly Stroll and end the day curled up in a blanket under the starts watching the “Star Wars- The Force Awakens”.

Many of the Downtown Newburgh businesses will be prepared to have little ones trick or treat before the Ghostly Stroll Walking Parade which begins at Town Hall at 2 pm.  The Little Old Dam Band leads the parade playing the Death Dirge.  They are followed by a couple of hundred parents, kids and pets dressed in Halloween attire.

This is a free event. If you would like your costume judged, please arrive at shortly before 2:30 pm in the Town Hall parking lot.  You will receive a number so you can have your costume judged.

The Newburgh Harvest Festival will be at the Lou Dennis Community Park on Jefferson Street.  Festivities begin at 3 pm until 6 pm with food trucks, free children’s activities, craft vendors, and farmers market vendors.

There will be live music starting at 6 pm before the movie begins at 7.  Star Wars fans “The Force Awakens” will be showing at the free family movie night. Bring chairs or blankets if you would like.
