New SOLAR FARM to be Built in Evansville!

In it's commitment to move towards more renewable, and environmentally cleaner energy, Vectren has announced plans to begin construction on a new SOLAR FARM right here in EVANSVILLE! The Volkman Solar Farm is one of two solar farm projects proposed by Vectren in its efforts to provide cleaner, more abundant energy to its customers.

The solar farm will be built on the corner of Highway 41 and Morgan Ave with over 8,000 panels providing power to over 300 homes. The farm has a $650 million / 7-yr price tag but is projected to bring in over $20 million in revenue per year.

Residences probably won't see any difference to their BILLS anytime soon and a completion date has not been announced.
