If you are a late Generation X, early Millennial, you know that at some point in your life you were totally obsessed with MTV. Whether you got ready for school while fawning over the newest music videos or spent hours upon hours upon hours binging on the first reality show, Real World, or even laughed hysterically at the mindless humor of Beavis & Butt-head, MTV was a huge part of your younger self.

If any of the above memories excite you just a little bit, you'll be happy to know that MTV is opening the TV vault and is revamping VH1 Classic into MTV Classic. The programming will include Total Request Live, MTV Unplugged, Beavis & Butt-headAeon Flux, Real World and Laguna Beach.

THE ROB:

Obviously, I am very excited about all of the possibilities MTV Classic has, and it may not be a surprise that what I am most excited for is the return to television of Beavis & Butt-Head!  However, the aspect that has me most excited about this is something I have NOT seen or heard people talking about.  I have the dozens of DVDs that have been released remembering the cartoon duo, but the one thing those have omitted (surely for copyright reasons) is the MUSIC VIDEOS!!!  While I got annoyed by them as a kid, I would really love to see the show return to the airwaves with the weird music video fodder finally reinserted...  The way I remember it!!!

KAT MYKALS:

I am beyond excited about the changes to MTV. Being a full-fledged Gen-Xer, I loved Daria and of course music videos! Some of the best moments of my youth involved MTV and the 90s were some of the best years of the MTV experience. I cannot wait for this to launch on Monday!
