Music Video Lovers Rejoice! Pop-Up Video Returns to VH1!
[POP] The Rob is very excited!
The network has ordered 60 brand-new episodes of the series, which will remain faithful to the original series, according to ‘Pop Up Video’ co-creator, Woody Thompson. The reboot will also add two new genres, rap and hip-hop, which were previously passed over “because it was the domain of sister network MTV.”
[POP] The Rob’s favorite music video of all-time is “November Rain” from Guns N’ Roses.
Premiering in 1996, ‘Pop Up Video’ is a series that plays facts, ranging from informative to silly, over its corresponding music video.
No word yet on when the much-anticipated reboot will premiere. In the meantime, check out a few classic ‘Pop Up Video’ episodes.
[POP] This song isn’t as good as “The Sign.”
[POP] Gwen Stefani’s last name is hard to spell… No doubt!
[POP] “Dancing Queen” is the only song from ABBA that The Rob can name, and he’s ashamed to know even that one.
[POP] It drives The Rob crazy when people call soda “pop.” If you older than 7-years old, you shouldn’t do that.
