Motive Behind the Murder of Shane Breedlove Released

Last Tuesday morning, EPD detectives and SWAT made arrests in the murder of Evansville DJ Shane Breedlove.

Three individuals have been charged with the murder of Shane Breedlove. Derrick Murray, a known gang member who has threatened the EPD, Bobby John Handegard and son, 19-year-old Bobby Michael Handegard.

Until today, arrest warrants and probable cause affidavits were sealed at the requested of the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office. However, the records were unsealed by Vanderburgh Circuit Court Judge David Kiely after a hearing by request of The Evansville Courier & Press.

According to the Courier & Press, "Breedlove testified against a business partner of the Bobby John Handegard in a battery trial."
