Keep Evansville Beautiful's 'Clean Evansville' initiative makes its way to the city's west side for its monthly trash pick up.

Volunteers will target areas in Ward 6 on Evansville’s West Side during the monthly trash pick-up on Saturday, June 7, from 8 to 10 a.m. Teams are asked to gather at locations near Lamasco Park where they will be assigned to the following locations to pick up litter: Columbia Street from Fulton Avenue west to St. Joseph Avenue, Maryland Street west to St. Joseph Avenue, and Grove Street north to Uhlhorn Avenue.

All collected trash from the clean-up will be deposited at the parking lot of Lamasco Park to have it disposed of by Republic Services. In the first five months of 2014, more than 10,000 pounds of trash has been collected by over 350 volunteers.

Anyone interested in joining or forming a team should contact Mike McGarrah or Kolbi Gibson at 425-4461.
